Welcome to the website for West Virginia Masters who participate in Track and Field, Running, Long Distance Running, and Racewalking.

USATF Track and Field events for Masters include ages 35-100+ and sub masters of ages 30-34 are welcome to participate.  There are local (Association), Regional and National Track and Field Meets including some specifically for throwing events or combined events. Indoor and Outdoor T&F Meets are held.  The outdoor T&F season is nearly completed for 2019.  There are a few state meets left, such as those for KY and FL in the NSGA series.  The first indoor meat close to WV is open to all ages 12 and up and is at JDL in Winston Salem, NC November 23, 2019.  There will be a Masters PVA meet at Landover, MD on December 19, 2019The Indoor. The next USATF Indoor Championship Meet is March 13-15, 2020 at Louisiana State U in Baton Rogue, LA. The next USATF National Outdoor Championship Meet will be at North Carolina A&T University July 9-12, 2020 in Greensboro, NC.  USATF Masters compete in regional (e.g., the NCCWMA) and international meets (organized by the World Masters Association or WMA) as well.  The 2019 NCCWMA Meet was held in Toronto, Ontario, CA July 16-21, 2019.  The World Indoor Championship Track and Field meet was in Torun, Poland in late March, 2019. In 2020, the Outdoor Championship will be held July 20-August 1, 2020 in Toronto.

The National Senior Games Association organizes meets in each state (here the West Virginia Senior Sports Classic, or WVSSC, is the state meet in the NSGA series) and holds National Senior Games every other Year.  This was in Albuquerque, NM in mid-June for 2019.  The next National NSGA meet will be held in 2021 in Greater Fort Lauderdale, Florida.  There are also other Track and Field organizations who organize meets, including the State Games of America, and the Huntsman Senior Games.  This site will post upcoming meet and other information of interest to WV Masters and encourage contributions from those interested in Masters Running, T&F, and Racewalking.  Contributions may be event listings, News about events, pictures and other information or articles which would interest other athletes.

Your upcoming meets, meet results, pictures, news articles, and suggestions are solicited to add to this website.  Please send them to Barbara.Warren@wvmasters.com.  Most of the information posted will come from USATF, but other sources are included and welcomed.
